Hey everybody, this is Stephanie from Ace of Hearts Films with an insider tip on how many guests to invite to your wedding. So, there’s a lot of pressure on couples when it comes to who to invite to their wedding. Do you invite your neighbors? Do you invite your parents’ neighbors? Do you invite the kid you were friends with in first grade? And what ends up happening, if you invite everybody you feel obligated to invite, is that at the end of the night you don’t even get to talk to everybody. If you think about it, if you invite 150 guests and you talk to each of them for half a minute, which is extremely unlikely, but let’s say that’s the case. That means that you would have dedication 75 minutes of your timeline for the day to just interacting with guests. Honestly we just don’t see that happen at weddings. You go from your prep into your photos and then you have your ceremony and then you have more photos and maybe a few minutes of cocktail hour before you get to your reception. And then you have a choice, well you can either eat the dinner that you paid a ton of money for or you can quick shovel and a few bites before you go from table to table to table to try to fit in conversations with as many people as you possibly can. And then the party starts and the music starts going, and you can’t hear anybody anyway and the next thing you know it’s the end of the night and you didn’t get to talk to a bunch of your guests. So that’s my two cents on how many guests to invite to your wedding. I hope you’ll stay tuned for more insider tips for your wedding.
